Distribution and shipping

Shipping Policy 

       

 It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the shipping address and the accompanying email address provided at checkout is correct. 

Once a package is sent out from our facility, we are no longer in control and cannot make changes to any of the shipping information we were provided upon purchase. We are also unable to provide information regarding the shipment's progress, other than that which the customer is provided through available tracking numbers upon notification of a package being dispatched.

         We generally try to dispatch items within 1-3 business days from purchase, this is due to limited personnel in this one human operation, therefore any purchases made on a Friday and over the weekend will not be dispatched until the beginning of the following week. However, please be aware that when stock is low, it may take up to 3 weeks for the signed books to be restocked and sent out to you. If this happens we will notify you of the delay via the email address provided, and defer to you on how to proceed, you are within your rights to cancel your order and request a refund at this point. However, if our email goes unanswered for 5 days, we will send a follow-up email. If we still do not hear back your items will be sent out as soon as they become available, if this falls after 14 days from point of sale you waive the right to cancel your purchase and request a refund.         We are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misdirected packages, however we reserve the right to make the decision to provide either a refund or replacement for affected items at our own discretion

Third Party Distribution

While the majority of items sold through this website are distributed via our facility, some items, such as un-signed books, are outsourced to our print on demand distributor, IngramSpark. Please be aware that as a print on demand service, delivery will likely take longer than other items due to the time added to create the product. This will be communicated to you at point of sale and will likely lead to items bought at the same time, arriving separately and on different dates. If for any reason you require an un-signed book and other products to arrive together feel free Get In Touch via our link before making your purchase and we would be happy to try and work out a solution if our stock allows. Returning Packages

 

If we receive a package back to our facility, we will make efforts to reach out to the customer to confirm an address for reshipment. After 1 week, if we have not had a response, we will send a follow-up email. If after a further 7 days from this follow-up email we still haven't received a response, your order will be refunded (minus the cost of shipping) and placed back in our inventory.

Lost Packages (uk)

We try to include a buffer within all our delivery promises, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will not be delays upon route, and ask consumers to allow for up to 7 days post expected delivery before reporting a package as lost. This increases to 21 days within busy shipping periods (July-August and November-January). If your parcel does not arrive within the stated, or agreed upon window, you are within your rights to contact us via our Order Issues link to request a refund or exchange. However, items lost or stolen after delivery has been made are the responsibility of the buyer, and we therefore maintain the right to refuse refund or exchange in the event that a request is made after proof of delivery has been received. Please see our Third Party Distribution policy above if your package arrives 'incomplete.' If you still require further help, or an item arrives damaged, please refer to our Refund Policy. 

International shipping

RanPublishesBooks reserves the right to ship packages using the courier, method, and service of our choice, at our own discretion. Shipping costs are based on package weight and destination country. The rates cover shipping and tracking services ONLY and will vary depending on the destination country. You, the consumer, are responsible for any additional customs, duties, VAT, or tax required for the package to enter your country, should the cost arise. We cannot provide accurate delivery timeframes for packages sent internationally, and it will vary depending on product (please refer up to our Third Party Distribution above.) However all our packages are given a tracking number upon dispatch. If you do not receive your items within 30 days of receiving this tracking number, and no proof of delivery has been provided, please contact us via our Order Issues link. 

Lost Packages (International)

We try to include a buffer within all our delivery promises, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will not be delays upon route, and ask international consumers to allow for up to 30 days from receiving your last tracking update, before reporting a package as lost. This increases to 2 months within busy international shipping periods (October - January). If RanPublishesBooks receives confirmation of delivery, we maintain the right to refuse to refund or exchange items on the grounds of a false claim. Items lost of stolen after the delivery is made are the responsibility of the consumer. For information regarding 'incomplete' orders please refer to our Third Party Distribution policy.
